Useful tips for using / soaking off gel-lac

Typical mistakes when using gel-lac:
  • Do not forget to apply the gel-lac on the edge of the nail. It is important because if you don't close the material properly it will crack after two weeks. For the same reason please NEVER FILE or shape the ready gel-lac nails!
  • If your client's nails are weaker or thinner you must apply a bit more clear gel-lac to give a strong base. If the base coat is not strong enough the nails will bend easily.
  • Never wipe the nails between the layers, only at the end.

Some of you had questions how to remove the gel-lac and the cover mani tip therefore I think it would be useful for everyone if we could share some tips here.
  • don't forget to remove the shine of the gel-lac before you start soaking off!!! This can be done with a 100/100 Crystal Nails file or regular buffer. This is a typical problem that some of you forget sometimes and you end up with wasting more time.
  • many of you have asked me whether the acetone is good to use and the answer is YES. It takes longer than using our Acryl remover and does not include lanoline but can be used.
I hope these tips will help many of you, in case of any you have any questions please post it here!
